LOCAL ATTRACTIONS:
The Bath Hotel and Spring House. The 200-year-old hotel has seen not only better days, but glory days. At one time, it was 'the place' in the islands as guests came from Europe and points beyond to revel in the stately hotel and soak up the therapeutic waters of the mystical mineral hot springs. Recently, the local constabulary has been using a small part of the dilapidated remains of this once grand hostelry as a police station.The baths, the last we heard, are still open though somewhat worse for wear. There is a small charge for a dip in the spa.

QUALITY OF BEACH:
On beige colored sand, Pinney's famous stretch of four picturesque miles is fronted by a never-ending line of palms trees. And as this line faces west, Pinney's sunset is a daily display of vivid, almost surreal, golden coloring.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
A wonderful aspect of visiting the lush and mountainous island of Nevis is a chance to stay at one of the unique 'sugar plantation' inns; Golden Rock Estate, Montpelier Plantation Inn and Croney's Old Manor Estate were all former working sugar plantations. (You can still find derelict stone works that once housed distilleries on the grounds of some of the inns). Four poster beds can be found in many of the refurbished rooms including the occasional guest room built into a round 300-year-old stone sugar mill.
